gamefowl rooster, unknown type. Please help!

Yea I agree, I can't blame my 7 white leghorns for taking a month or two off. They laid well this summer, but these game hens on the other hand I have yet to see an egg but I'm being patient, all the hens are spring 13 hatch

Yea, game hens will usually produce less eggs for sure, but they are good mothers (go broody often), meanwhile Leghorn produce lots of eggs but they almost never go broody, of course some Leghorns will at times go broody but for the most part they Wouldn't.

My Old English Game bantams hatched on may and yet they haven't layed any eggs, im hopping they all go broody on this upcoming spring. :)

Yes me too, I have began an experiment with this rooster crossed with white leghorns and the F1 hybrids Are amazing, they have the style of the gamefowl with hopefully infusing the productivity of the leghorns. I have only kept the hens out of the first generation as I am doing this experiment for eggs

Hardscaper87 do you have any pictures of the offspring of your game rooroo and leghLeghorns?

I can take pics tomorrow, I was thinking the brown/red crossed over a white hen that the babies females would come out with the red coloring of their dad but all chicks that I have hatched are white with black flecks, some more than others
