Gamefowl?

I'm thinking about getting some gamefowl but are they good for anything. I just like the way they look

Not really, they were bred for fighting and so their gameness is the main trait which has been selected for. American Games production is far below that of a common laying hen and an Oriental's is downright bad. They are edible but no doubt very tough. They are really only useful for looking at, and make excellent ornamentals and friendly pets.
