Taming them is fine, perching on your shoulder could very easily lead to an eye injury if you're not careful. I did the same with my first batch of chicks and one nearly nailed me when I was cleaning the coop and she was perched on my shoulder. She also developed the bad habit of pecking at my ear.

Good to know. I like having two eyes. Artmis always tries, but my husband grabs him. Bekah never attempts to do it.
