I don't think a lot of buyers realize just how much work goes into shipping live birds. Its a huge stress on me to ship then cause I'm a worry wart.
It's a huge stress, from either end as well...
And I remember the ducklings...

Until I started shipped, I never realized how much work it is to ship - live birds or eggs. Eggs though are easier and less stressful. And don't forget that breeders don't get the same great shipping rates the hatcheries do. I'd love it if I could ship a box of chicks for only $11. Any of you remember a few years ago the hatcheries were complaining about having to pay even that much? They wanted their customers to sign petitions. I wouldn't do it. The hatcheries charge those shipping costs right back to the customer anyway.
A box of ducklings got lost in shipping... she called all over and raised h*ll with USPS to locate them... they were located, permission given to open the box to feed and water them and they were put on a special flight to the recipient... think they were in transit for 5 days but every single one made it...
Sweeet! A happy ending for a change!

Right! - The surplus shipping fee cumulatively is enough to cover shipping for the prize, therefor there is no shipping charge. But because previous players are the ones who cumulative are covering the shipping, only previous winners may participate in the "showcase showdown".
Trifecta or weekend long game sounds fun, but let's save the extra long games for the extra special prizes. I've got two dozen AC eggs too old to ship. Anyone interested in taking chicks off my hands if I set these eggs? Shipping fee would be substantially higher, like $100. We can do a "triple crown" for this prize, win three games to win the chicks.

I'm well aware. I didn't include that cost either because it will be different in every case.Heck, CC... I wasn't even talking about the bird shipping fee... $20 was the shipping fee for buying a single live bird box just to get the box FOR shipping a bird...![]()
