I use these as well, but keep multiples cuz when they crap out they flatline... plus the other one lets you turn the dial over the hygrometer when you calibrate it to keep it accurate...

I have one of these. So far seems pretty accurate. Each of my incubators have an alcohol thermometer, a digital reading (besides the built in one) and an analog dial/radial type one like this one...all different makes n models though lol. It's great if I question them I just flop them all around if readings look the same then everything is fine

Don't let anyone dull your sparkle!!! So glad the eggs are looking good

we have oil filled radiators in the garage for heat now but I mentioned it to Bill and he likes the idea of a propane wall/ceiling mounted heater-will keep it warmer for when we open the doors. New coop for the free range layers comes on Halloween!!! Breeding pens are coming this spring. Love my chickens!!!!

What is going on?!

Just me allowing another person to get to me. There was a person who won eggs on this thread, then confessed he was a minor and couldn't pay shipping, but I sent him the eggs anyway. After which he has been a bit of a bother. He hasn't been directly rude, or mean, or derogatory. It's his overall demeanor. He behaves like a person much younger than he claims to be. He is impatient and unrealistic. He comes across as either very needy or very lonely. Or perhaps he just lacks communication skills and I'm interpreting his posts and PMs differently than they were intended. Text is oh so much harder to interpret intent than live conversation!

You're right on your other post. I can choose to put up with him or not. I keep giving people the benefit of the doubt, the Golden Rule, and all. I have bad days too, make some dumb decisions, some really dumb decisions, so I try to look at things from different perspectives. Of course I fail most of the time. I must have driven some people crazy myself.

I tried to ignore him. But when this person started posting on that other threads, that I don't normally read, tagging me asking about why an Ayam Cemni would have feathered legs (exclamation!!!), I interpreted that as a direct attack on the quality of my stock and my reputation, implying for everyone to see that I was a scammer. Maybe I read too much into it. Maybe it was just his immaturity showing. Doesn't make it ok to openly discredit people without the facts or doing a little research. It's bad enough that some now think my stock is worthless because I'm giving eggs away. Don't need to reinforce their beliefs with posts about feathered legs or even that I don't respond to posts.

I thought sure my post yesterday on that other thread would have earned me an infraction. Much to my surprise it has instead received several ovations. I am surprised, yet relieved. and grateful.

I shouldn't let one person get to me. Thank you everyone for your support!
