GAMES FOR EGGS and other fun prizes

I set more AC eggs tonight. This REALLY is the LAST batch of eggs I'm setting this year. I'll let you guys know how they do.

Hope you have a great hatch! (We'll see if it's really the LAST!)

Random cuteness: isn't my niece adorable?

she was visiting her other aunt and just loves the chickens! she did this for 30 minutes with various chickens, much to their dismay. Good thing her cousins handle them a lot as chicks.

Sorry I messed the game last night everyone. I really wanted to try battle chick lol. DD had a girl scout event at a hockey arena an hour away. We didn't get home til 10:00!

@cjwaldon, these silly birds that hatched from your eggs are little brats! Are all AC chicks so ornery? They're really a lot of fun and I'm very much enjoying them :) sometime in the middle of the night, the knocked the screen down that a keep rested against their brooder so I can keep the glass doors open on the side. I woke up this morning and looked over to see them all roosting on the edge. And now, 1 certain one has decided that he feels like free ranging and keeps coming out to explore lol

LOL! I start mine in cardboard box with heat plate for a couple of weeks, then they go into the GQF stack brooder. I don't handle them other than to move them, so they are always skittish as chicks. But they do get out of their box quite easily, so two to three weeks is the maximum they stay in the box.
