I've got my last hatch of the year (really the last one this time) due in a week. I'm going to look extra close. And also compare the AC shells to the Leghorn shells for an objective comparison. This is interesting!

my last hatch is due in 3 weeks. Got turkey and duck eggs on day 8, and I added in a bunch of Isbar eggs yesterday, mostly from my pullet.

My chicks from the last hatch just moved outside. The old saddle stand is a perfect hiding hole for them: the ducks and big chickens can't get under it.

Ok, this isn't game related and sorta chicken/poultry related but I am too excited not to share...

My little flock should be NPIP and AI clean certified before Christmas!!!
 
Boohoo! Found one of my AC chicks drowned in the duck pond. How it got there I don't know. Naturally it was the one with the smallest comb.
