Purebred "games", mainly Old English Game, American Game, and Modern game should have single-combs and a much different body type than your friend's birds.. At least going by the photos, your friend's birds do not appear to be any pure breed of game; they look more like mixes. Could have some gamebird in them, or they could be a random mix. My guess would be that they have some bantam Ameraucana, Japanese Bantam, and/or Serama in them. I can't really tell from the photo--does the hen have a pea comb, too, or just a small single comb?
