Gander with sore and swollen foot

Here are a few pics. Does anyone have any idea how to treat his foot?

I really have no idea. But... I would give it a soak in warm water and clean off what I could to get a better look. Maybe something is stuck in there or a broken toe. Hopefully somebody that does have an idea will chime in.

Wash it an put Neosporin on it...it can't hurt

Doesn't look like bumble foot i don't see any scab there, i would soak it in a bucket of warm epsom salt water, get it cleaned up real good and see if maybe theres a thorn or splinter in there. is it hot feeling like there is infection? As much as my gander doesn't look where hes going most of the time I am surprised after almost 4 years he has had somekind of foot trouble. also i don't see any nails, has he broken them off? how do they look?
