Hello,

this is our Gander "Clark" I was finally able to get a good picture of his wing feathers.... what could this be?? I never really see him chewing on his feathers myself.
the only other goose we have is his better half "Lois" and non of the other animals, chickens and goats, can get close enough to be the cause of this.

If anybody has an idea what this could be, please let me know.

We bought our geese at a Animal Swap about 5 weeks ago and the seller said he does not know what's up with that, he thinks the mice got to him....but it seems like it's gotten worse since we brought them home.

thank you for your advice.

My gander has always molted in June I don't know if that's the norm for geese since most everything else I have molts in late summer /fall, but hopefully soon you'll see him molting and when done he'll be gorgeous with his new feathers. Some of my Scovy drakes look like your gander already just because they are so rough on each other.
