gaps in laying

I'm new to chickens so I hope this isn't a silly question!

I've had my black rock chook for 2 weeks now and aside from the first day, when she laid a soft shelled egg, she's laid an egg daily until 3 days ago. I've had nothing since then. She seems quite content and is scratching around her adopted sister Jim, eating, drinking and pooping, so I don't think she's egg bound.

I just wondered if it was normal to have a gap like this when she seemed so consistent? We bought her as a point of lay girl so could things still be settling down in the laying department?

I'm feeding her on growers pellets as Jim is younger and I was told that layers pellets had too much calcium in them for non layers. I'm supplementing Spock's feed with oyster shell to give her the extra calcium, they also get sultanas, maize and frozen sweet corn (which they adore!) as treats so I think she's getting what she needs.

I'm just looking for a bit of reassurance, hope you can give it!:D:idunno
