Garage or basement

We are getting baby chicks and we don’t know where we should put them. It is fall so, it is cold outside. We were going to put them in the garage but, we decided we could put them in the basement. We have not decided yet so, where should we put them?????

The basement would be just fine for this. You may want to make sure the plastic bin is big enough for all the chicks you are getting and long enough they can escape the heat source if they need to.

I vote basement and secure the daylights out of that lamp.

I actually brood in my coop.....using a heatlamp secured with chain.

It is big enough for 6 chicks and if not we have a bigger bin
