What does one do with 6 free garbage cans? My friend is going thru divorce. that means sellin his house. He gave me 6 garbage cans for nothing. I keep small numbers of birds together for my breeding program in pens. Some pens have 4 birds, some three. And in my one pen that I have two birds in, I thought throw one can in their for them to stay out of the sun, rain, great place to lay an egg. Once the bed down in their I push them up against the fence. And it's free. I guess I am a garbage can bird breeder. lololol

If they have lids you can use them for feed storage, buy in bulk or buy seperate grains, etc.

Seems like I never have enough garbage cans.........

Does that mean you're breeding trashy birds? JK

I have seen an ad somewhere of a chicken tractor made out of a trashcan. I wish I could remember where now....

I do use metal cans for my adult feed and juvie/chick feed for storage. these are plastic with pre made holes. So they get good air. Last nite was nite one with my Whites. At first they didn't like it. Today it is like it has always been there. lololol
