Garden fence vs. chickens

Wow. Yours are athletic. I don't think I've ever seen my Australorp more than 3' off the ground.

Mine have gone over a 6' fence but the point of fencing off your garden isn't so much that they can't jump over it, but to discourage them from doing so. So in my case, since mine were jumping 2' chicken wire around the garden beds (and I didn't feel like putting in taller chicken wire), I put lightweight netting over the top and that was enough to discourage them from jumping in there, then after that, the netting wasn't really necessary.
