And yes, we're growing pink bananas.

Nah. You are in good company with strange and freaky. I tend to plan my garden around themes. This year's theme was "Cool Names". Plus I have a fondness for odd looking produce.
Some of this years options?
Greasy Grits beans
Cherokee Trail of Tears beans
Dragon's Tongue beans
Jacob's cattle beans
Sleeping Beauty melon
Tigger melon (really cool red and gold stripes)
Green Zebra tomatoes
Cosmonaut tomato
Moon and Stars watermelon

I'm trying to find someone local to plow up part of my unused acre. Think of what I could plant with all that room!

The tigger melon is gorgious, but the flavor wasn't stellar, I used them in melon salads, to blend in with stronger flavors. However, you can carve up a nice "melon bowl" with them to out do you auntie who's brought the same jello mold to memorial day BBQ since you were 7.

Try a Piel De Sappo (skin of the toad) melon for taste, it's what a store honeydew cries itself to sleep wishing it could be.

You mean the spring wheat order I just put in? Or the heirloom fingerling potatoes? Or the Apple trees? Or like 15 types of beans and tomatoes? And the fact that I'm buying land just so I can have more gardens, orchards and livestock?? It's... not... normal??? omg...
