Actually I trellis most of my melons onto an old chainlink fence, it does double duty, hides an ugly fence, and lets me use the dirt for other crops, while keeping fruit off the ground.

I got away with only spending $20 at Baker Creek

I am planting Collective Farm Woman melon this year.

Went to LOWES today for a door knob and came home with

- Yellow Pansys
- Purple Pansys
- Purple pertunias
- and some other silver looking plant.

I plant on re-using the plant pots for my veg garden seeds. Oh did I mention - - FREEZING Temperatures expected every night for the next two weeks - - - so, I can't put the stuff in the ground yet ?
