Gardening for Old Folks (Adaptative)

37°F in central Indiana this morning. Supposed to go down to 34°F tonight. Hopefully no lower, because a freeze at this point can make the difference between some of my plants producing or not this year. (I'm looking at you apricot and kiwi...)
No blooms on anything here at this time.

I'm sure that is a good thing with your current freezes/snow. Your plants know to wait. Starting later is better than starting too early.

We've had a very warm few weeks and my plants are leafing and/or flowering. I think if we can get past tonight without harm, then we'll likely be in good shape for the rest of the spring.

26F this morning, worked up to 32F and then
going to slide back down tonight.
six inches of snow last night.
before the rain/snow started, the ground
was bare..
the rhubarb, garlic and chives
are all coming up.. the snow shouldn't
hurt them.. no leaves on the trees, yet.

If April showers bring May flowers,
then after that 4AM storm we just had. we
should be getting a super bloom..
I had a little rain mixed with some small horizontal hail the other day. Got a whole 0.08" of precipitation. The hail stung pretty good.
