We are expecting to go below freezing next week & we are in sandhills of NC...

It was 23°F this morning and there is at least 2" of snow.

I just got the video from my "step brother" - snow in Shelby, MT. Our daughter, across the highway from them, hasn't sent vid or pics...

Sun is out may see high 60's have a fire so far this morning.
Trying to dry out bit from the daily rain last week.

good morning, the sun was out until 8AM. I hope it comes back.
33F first time above freezing for a week.. in the morning, usually gets up to the high 3o's / low 4o's later in the day.
I was thinking about all the new people starting out with chickens. I am thinking that this fall/winter there will be lots of chickens for sale/ once the people find out that chickens in the winter are not so much fun/ might be a good time to pick up some laying pullets for next year.
