Ok heres a crazy question. Do roosters do dust baths? What about as chicks?

Yep, they will. Chickens dustbathe to help keep lice & mites off of themselves. It also helps keep skin from getting flaky & itchy.

Carolina Chickenstock is on May 18th. Its like a 6 hour ride for me, but I think I'm gonna make the trip (without children, but with chickens).

I forgot to tell you that the plantie you sent me arrived safe and sound... the box was all smashed, but fortunately with a plant that doesn't matter so much... in the ground the same day and slowing coming back to life =)
