Gargantuan Egg

One of our flock (I wish I knew who it is) has been consistently laying double yolk eggs. I commend it for doing just that, but today, when I went to the nest box I found a 108 gram - yes that's 3 7/8 oz egg in the coop.

I am new to keeping chicken. Is there any way this can be harmful for the poor hen? Is there anything I can/should do to regulate egg size?

I read a story of a chicken in China was laying record breaking size eggs....The article also said they were not sure if it was the diet that mainly rice, or just the chicken.......

We have a Speckeldy, a Bluebell from http://edinburghchickens.com/page2.html and a white and a black (no idea what the breeds are) from https://www.facebook.com/pages/Midlothian-Chicken-Centre.

I am not entirely sure which one is the record layer, but I assume the black on from the Midlothian Chicken center.

So they got a little smaller in the last few days but it's still way in excess of 80 grams. Will have a nice fry up for my brekkie tomorrow and know the star ingredients.
