Garlic?! Corn?! Good, Bad? Any opinions?

Corn is not "hot" feed. Like Chris09 said, it will not heat up your birds. It was 110 here last summer too. And mine ate the same amount of corn last summer that they do all year.

Corn is full of carbs, and carbs are considered "hot." This doesn't mean it will heat their bodies up any more than any other source of carbohydrates. That is an old wives tale that so many people still believe.

Thought the corn increases body heat thing had finally died but here it is back again. Chickens, like humans & all other warm blooded creatures have mechanisms within their body that regulates heat. They have a normal body temperature as you & I do. I eat a lot of corn in the summer. Love the stuff. It doesn't raise my body temperature & it won't raise your chickens temperature either.
