Hello!

I was wondering how much garlic you put in your chickens water and how frequently?

Also... is it better to feed them crushed garlic rather than putting it in their water?

Thanks!

Garlic is a wonderful superfood for you, however the only time my chickens get any is when we feed them our leftovers. I'm sure its good for them, but getting them to eat pure Garlic is probably a trick in and of itself. I have seen a garlic supplement for chickens on amazon I believe. You could find that and read the reviews to see how people use it.

I don't think I'd give them any. Onions and garlic are actually trying to be toxic with all the stuff in them, and I'm fairly sure onions are really bad for chickens. We humans are really good at eating things that are bad for other animals.

I have always known onion and garlic to be very bad for animals. I would assume chickens too.
Even dogs shouldnt have garlic in the form of feeding a chunk of garlic.

I had some garlic granules for the horse. I tossed some on the floor and the chickens wolfed it straight down. I've never heard that garlic is bad for them and personally don't believe it is. I've read that it also helps as a mite deterrent.
