My DH and I were out picking up some wood this morning and noticed at one of the gas stations that diesel was $3.97!!!

I couldn't believe it at first and had to do a double take! I then had to call everyone I knew that drove trucks that run on diesel to tell them where I had seen it for that price. Maybe food prices (livestock and chicken feed as well) will go down a bit also. I guess we can only hope for that one, right?!?!

Edited to add that gas here has gone down to $3.49 a gallon.

I saw that at a gas station here, last weekend gas (reg.) was 3.69!! That was the lowest I've seen it in a while. I was so excited.

Lets keep hoping about those feed prices!

The only way we are going to get prices to go down is to drill.

Agriculture is COMPLETELY dependent on OIL!,,, and most tractors run on diesel. Environmentalists don't have a clue.

Sure we need alternative and renewable energy sources, but we aren't going to be able to grow wheat, barley and corn without OIL!

I saw regular unleaded here for $3.57 yesterday, but we are still headed for recession OR depression unless we start drilling and building refineries.

We have a enough coal/oil shale in UT,AZ and CO that would last the US for many, many decades if we'd just start building refineries now. We need to drill in AK ASAP. That would drop prices real quick.

you guys are so lucky we have the 3rd highest gas prices in the lower 48, we are paying between $4.01 to $4.08 for regular:mad:
