my chicken i noticed is gasping and i found a thread about gapeworm and if something down her throat and there isnt, it seems like a tonsil in swollen in her throat or something but im not sure what it could be, shes gasping and seems to almost fall unconscious sometimes and i was hoping anyone knows anything.

Welcome to BYC. Sorry about your hen. Can you use a flashlight, and while someone is holding her head, look down into her throat for any blockage? Is her comb red or dark? Is she sneezing or coughing, or having any watery eyes or bubbles in her eyes?

i have used a flash light and looked and she has no blockage except for the swollen area and her comb is red and she is neither sneezing or caughing or anything else, she keeps trying to faint but shes battling it. im unsure what happened

If it is gapeworm, treat it with SafeGauard Equine paste 10%. Just put a pea size dollop in the beak or on a piece of bread. Repeat the dose in 10 days. Treat your entire flock. From what I see, gapeworms are not the problem since they shouldn't cause any swelling. Just to be on the safe side, I would deworm her anyways so that way she get the relief if she does, in fact, have them.

Can you post a picture of her that shows the swelling? Can you identify the crop, or is the swelling air under the skin which could be a leaking air sac from trauma? A leaking air sac can occur from an injury, and they may be deflated with a needle and pushing the air out. I don’t know if that might be the problem or not. Here is a picture of a large crop, and a picture of air sac location in chickens:
