Today we noticed my daughter's 2 year black shouldered peacock wheezing, a coughing sound like he's trying to clear his throat and gasping for air. Also he occasionally shakes his head. He was treated with topical ivermectin for cattle wormer on april 23, so would/could it be gapeworms or is this more likely respiratory? I have some safeguard for goats liquid wormer as well, that I have not used yet, but should I treat this as respiratory or worms or can you put wormer and antibiotics in the water together and treat for both possiblilties? Please help!
