Gasping, shaking? Gapeworm?

Our two year old speckled Sussex has been seemingly shaking her head and opening her mouth to gasp for air. It almost looks like a yawn--but it's not a yawn. This isn't all the time but often enough to be noticeable.

She did this as a pullet and then it seemed to go away until this year. The first thing that comes up on Google search is gapeworm but NONE of the other 4 hens or the turkey have the symptoms. If it was a worm, wouldn't the other birds be showing symptoms?

Otherwise she is healthy and alert and acting normally. Any help would be greatly appreciated, as always.

Have you noticed your other chickens occasionally “adjusting their crops?” It can be normal if they only are doing it occasionally, but if it is often, it could be that they have an impacted crop, or something is not going down. What do you feed them? Do they have some poultry granite grit in a separate container to help the gizzard grind up foods other than chicken layer or all flock feed? I would feel of the crop now, and again in the early morning to see if it has emptied overnight. Let us know what you find.
