Gasping, yellow dry skin- please HELP

Her scalp doesn’t look nearly as bad as some of the scary photos, so the vet could decide if it looks like favus, or is just dry skin with molting. They can do a skin scraping for fungus. A molt seems to be a stressful time where they can develop an illness when there has been something brewing. Let us know what you learn.
Will do... the specialist can’t see Molly until tomorrow morning - I’m thinking about giving her a iodine/epsom salt bath tonight - it’s just her gasping that’s worrying me - thanks again

Let us know what the vet has to say. Does she seem to have an enlarged lower abdomen?
Hi Eggcessive- your concern, support & advice is much appreciated...
I gave Molly an iodine & epsom salt bath, flushed her eyes with saline & put baby vap rub on her chest - brought her indoors & putting a little olbus oil in the hay... I syringed amoxicillin with a tiny bit of olive oil down her beak & finger crossed she’s stopped gasping although still a bit wheezy - oh & she tucked into a mix of oats, natural yogurt, sardines in oil, Finley chopped cherry tomato & avipro avian prebiotic powder with vitamins A,C,E - FINGERS CROSSED Molly’s on the mend x

Sounds like she is in good hands. Amoxicillin is good for infections, but does not treat some of the common respiratory diseases, such as mycoplasma or viruses. Let us know how she gets along.
