Gatorade?

Thank you!

Where from in Georgia? Up until 3+ yrs ago almost my entire life was spent along the banks of the Savannah River about halfway bewteen Savannah and Augusta.

Yeah its yellowish, kinda like lemon- lime Gatoraide.

I should not have thrown out the package look back now.

I figured out the ratio and put the mix ina zip lock bag, the package wasn't resealable. I wanted to keep it fresher in a zip lock.

I think it might be in the bag I just took out, if I can find it I will post the brand so if anyones interested in it....

The brand is Dur-Vet(sp?), it was $3.29(in KY) or a 4 oz pack that when mixed makes 110 gallons, or 1/8 tsp per gallon. I hope this might help anyone needing to give electrolytes made for poultry to their chicks or adult chickens.

Thanks to all of you for doing the math. Between a.d.d. and menopause I hadn't even thought of trying. Does anyone sell the stuff that comes with the chicks in the shipment? The "Gro Gel" stuff? I wish stores would make readily available more chicken "stuff" for us backyarders. With easy directions for those of us with thinking issues.

I has a sick chickie that had crook neck and I gave it that 4oz electrolyte suppliment and calculated it out to 1/8 tsp per gallon. My brooder jug is only a half gallon. The first couple day I actually used a half of a 1/8 tsp measuring spoon. After a week or so being open it started to get damp and clump up so I just started to add a pinch to the half gallon jug.
It worked heal my crook neck who is now healthy and happy, though the runt of the group.
Good luck with you sick one.

I'm thinking at this point a little Gatorade watered down might not hurt. The 5 chicks I'm doctoring aren't eating but a tiny amount of yogurt/crumbles and don't drink much either. They are still strong and fight me when I make them eat/drink. I think they might be better than they were. Not good yet, by any means, but not worse. If they had something that would interest them it might help. It would be a minute amount, if any, of the Gatorade they took in. I need to feel like I'm doing something to help them. The other 50 are doing so well and starting to fly and roost. These are pitiful but I keep helping them as long as they are making an effort. I know I'm not alone in this battle.
