Does it matter what gauge the netting is that im using for my run. I using welded galvanized netting and the 16 gauge is cheaper by like 50 dollars for the height and length that i would like opposed to the 14 gauge. Would i be ok with the 16 gauge even if i live in CT where you have mild climates and predators such as raccoons, fox, coyotes, opossums..... Thankss

We used 20 gauge and have had no problems. We used it for a "wrap" around the kennel fencing for the first run but also used it for the fencing around our duck pond and the top of the chicken run. We kept alot of tension on the wire so that it would not sag and made sure it was secured tightly at the corners so again their would be so sagging. I'm in NC and there was no option around on the gauge of the wire. We just had to choose the height, length and what diameter of hole we wanted (1in or 2in). (I'm not exactly sure about how the gauge of wire is measured but because of your statement about price I'm assuming the lower the gauge the thicker the wire???)

If you're just using poultry netting it's not going to stop a determined critter. Poultry netting is designed to keep chickens in, not predators out.
