I have 4 black Bresse and 4 white Bresse that are growing out now that are 4 weeks old. I'll post some pics and start weighing them at 6 weeks.
The original 2 bresse that hatched on the 19th are from UK, but from German lines. These 8 are also from Germany.

they are really beautiful chickens

Ny Neighbour has bresse eleven hens and cock they are really fast growing bird compared to the many other breeds they have
The breeds they have are:

Black lang shang (rare)
Copper blue and black marans( very broody)
Green legged partridge (rare)
White Bresse (rare)
Silkies (many colours)(also very broody)
Brahmas silver and partrige(very slow to mature!)
Frizzle bantams

He has breeding groups of all these birds the la bresse by far grow much faster(This in some cases may make some of the birds have defected toes this is due to to fast of growing.I mayself think they are a really nice breed:)

Looks like one Bresse rooster and two hens in the second batch. They are almost identical in weight to this hatch at their 5 week weight.

So at 12 weeks the rooster is at 4.5 lb. over 2 kilos. The hen is around 4 lb. and 1.8 kilos.

VC~

I have got to say that I am amazed at their rate of growth as I lurk here in your thread watching them grow. That last photo really shows this young mans substance. I like them alot, they're great!
