Hi everyone,
I'm from Australia, now living in Ohio. Used to raise chickens on my farm in Australia, but now unfortunately am unable to have chickens where I live. Really miss the thrill of hatching a chicken from eggs, that I had collected from my own hens. Have had many breeds over the years, White, silver and gold wyandottes, black hamburgs, plymouth rocks, silkies, rhode island reds, sussex, australorps and orpingtons. Plus muscovy, khaki campbell and rouen ducks, white turkeys, geese, and quail.

Looking forward to living my chicken life through reading comments from those of you who are lucky enough to be able to indulge in the pleasure of chicken raising.

G'Day even if you are in Ohio. I would think the weather here is worse than Australia, plus the opposite change of seasons when relocating in the US must take a while to adjust
to.

Welcome to Backyard Chickens. I hope at some point you will be able to have a flock again. We have a large Aussie community on BYC, and a dandy thread called "Australia, six states and one funny little island.," in case you get homesick.
