What besides the tune would bring it back to stock? Remove the catless downpipe, injectors, etc? It is turbo?
So it's got an APR stage 2 tune, downpipe (not sure if it's catted or not, I haven't crawled under there yet), intake kit, injectors, high flow MAF into the stock exhaust after the first cat. The tune SHOULD be canceling the P0420 code but it isn't. So either the cat or sensor is bad, ,or the wrong tune is mapped right now. I also dn't have the security code to unlock the ECU, and the only way to fix that is to buy an unlock from APR and have a tuner retune it (which is the plan).

The stock exhaust setup has 2 cats and 3 banks of o2 sensors, and it's typically the middle one ( between the 2 cats) reading rich and throwing the code. There's spacer kits and some other stuff I can try to get it to clear if the tuner can't.

I'd have to remove probably most of that to get it to pass emissions, so I'd need to find a wrecked GTI in a yard some place for all the stock parts. Still would need to reflash the ECU as well to stock.
