gearing up for an egg

I have 7 pullets about 3 months old now and I am wondering when I should add the nest boxes, hay and golf balls to their coop? Can't wait to see that first egg

You don't mention the breed and some lay earlier than others. I would say around four months old is a good time to start getting their nest boxes ready in case you end up with an early layer.

Thanks gritsar. I have RIR, BO, SLW and EE. 4ish months was about what I thought.
