Hey folks,
So here I am with a basket early in the morning four days ago... Walking into the coop and reaching under my big Blue Cochin... Surprise! A fairy egg! Okay, I am used to fairy eggs and this is no biggie.
Second day... There I go, trotting out into the coop once more... Reaching under my non-broddy-but-constant-laying-Blue Cochin hen... Look! Another fairy egg.
Finally, day three. The temps are dropping the nights are bone chilling... I understand a drop in egg production and since molting I understand a smaller egg size. But three fairy eggs?! Here's proof I'm not off my rocker:
Have a good one and God bless.
Sincerely,
-The Angry Hen

Yes, I know those are four eggs.
Yup, day four. Zippedy do dah! A freaking fairy egg!! This is me early in the morning: "What did I not give you enough millet as a treat? You're mad at me for that?" It's not that I really care, but my Blue Cochin has been laying a regular egg along with the fairy egg everyday. I just can't figure out how the ovary system of a singular hen can pass two eggs of different sizes same time each day! If I had a new layer I understand she'd be laying on the smaller side, but this isn't big enough for a first layer. Definitely a fairy egg. Thank you for reading and you can post your experience with fairy eggs! :^)
Have a good one and God bless.
Sincerely,
-The Angry Hen
