Someone told me I should plant mint where my geese are so that it gets rid of the mud and repels rodents, but what if my geese eat it? I know its okay for chickens, but what about geese- or ducks? Will it harm them to eat it?

My goose doesn't eat mint - yet - but I can't imagine it being harmful. Mine eats oregano, basil, lemon balm, cilantro, and parsley. She's absolutely nuts about parsley! As long as they have access to decent grazing, I'd rely on their instincts telling them what's okay to eat.

I don't think mint repels rodents at all, though. One of my neighbors has mint all over his yard, and it's interspersed with rat and mouse holes.

Okay, thank you. Rodents really do dislike mint, but I think they will try and ignore it or get used to it if there is another reason to stick around- ie, lots of free food.
