Hi, my goose has been laying eggs, her and her gander have been great minding them and rolling them into the best and covering with straw. They only get as far as 2 eggs and then breaks one, this has happened twice so far. Is there anything I can do to stop them? Im going to add a very thick bed of straw to help cushion the eggs. Im worried if she did sit she'd break an egg and ruin the others.

Are the eggs being eaten? The only time I had broken goose eggs is when a sneaky crow was coming in the shed and breaking them open, and taking them. Geese in general don't seem prone to breaking eggs and the shells should be quite strong. If not, than make sure they have oyster shells available. I might add a game camera on the nest to see if something else is breaking the eggs open.
