Our almost 3 week Embden, has been limping off and on the last two days. We give them Niacin and from
Research we may need to get a vitamin B complex.

The knee pops or makes a noise when the gosling is walking. This is our first time with geese, this is our bigger one. We think it’s the male.

This is a vet situation. If it’s a slipped tendon it can be fixed if caught early, I have no idea if there’s a treatment if it’s dislocated.
Light weight birds fair better with permanent mobility issues, heavy weight birds have very poor quality of life if this is something permanent. I’m sorry to have to say that.

If it’s possible to take him to a vet I strongly advise it, a vet can determine far better what the issue is and fix it now if it can be fixed.

If it’s a slipped tendon it’s possible to correct it at home, I’m not an expert though.

@Miss Lydia does this look like a slipped tendon to you?

All slipped tendons I've seen the duckling/gosling can't extend the leg all the way because the tendon isn't in proper place in back of the knee. I'm not sure what is going on with this gosling but I agree a vet would be best if the knee is out of joint hopefully it is fixable.
Was this going on when the gosling was first hatched?
Could it be an injury?

We bought these from metzger farms. We’ve noticed something’s been off since day one, but we are new to this. We thought it was vitamins, so we upped vitamins, yeast, and now my husband is currently building a bigger brooder.

I’ll see if we can do a vet, I’ll start looking.

Thank you, and @Miss Lydia for your help.

Please let us know. That will be painful as he grows so hopefully, you can get a vet to look at him/her.
It was just suggested that maybe this is happening during a growth spurt and it’s the joints and bones stretching during the growth.

Still looking for a vet that sees geese. 🥴
