Geese egg incubation

Hey just wanted to ask because I have a bad feeling... it's day 6 and compared to the guide my eggs don't have any veining. Do they look ok or are they no good?
Give them until day 10 before labeling them as good or bad. It's looks as though the yolk is spreading that's a good sign. I always see the first faint signs of life at day 8.

The only thing I have seen development on at that stage are chicken eggs. Always give them until day 10 to be sure I like waiting a few days longer myself just to be 100% I just hate the thought of tossing something that's alive, by accident. If nothing after day 15, at the most, I toss them for sure. They can and will explode and the bacteria will kill the live embryos in the good eggs.

We'll I decided to crack an egg open because I felt pretty confidant they were duds. I think they were infertile because all that there was, was yolk. No blood vessels or any specs of red. On the bright side my quail are looking good and go into lockdown Thursday.

No coturnix seem pretty easy to hatch from what I have read and previous hatch. 17 days seems to fly by compared to 28 for geese. I put 36 pharoah in on 3/2 and so far from candling had 5 quitters and 11 infertile. The rest go into lock down on Thurs. I was gonna buy 2 doz but figured with fertility rate and my own error I would lose a doz so I bought three doz haha. I also set 15 golden on 3/9 that I bought from a reputable breeder on ebay. My fist experience with shipped eggs--shipping was a nightmare. Expedited took 5 days (mon-fri) to travel halfway across the state and we got spiked with cold temps too with lows in the teens this weeks so that didn't help. (Currently getting slammed with a nor'easter 24"+ of snow) But of the 15 I candled, they seem to be doing ok. I candled 6 and saw blood vessels in 5 and the 6th was too blue/dark to see anything. It is also a little early I guess, only day 4. I'm pumped though!!

How long is in incubation period for goose eggs. I know chicks but this is my first time for geese. Thanks
