Geese laying in October?

We've got three females - one Toulouse and two French Toulouse. Someone has laid three eggs. However, none of the hormonal histrionics towards us that we experience in the spring when all of them are laying. Anybody else experience laying in October like this?

My White Chinese laid in the fall a season or two but my American Buffs aren't, thank goodness. I'm not ready for the hormonal craziness just yet.

It starts to get noticeable here in Late December. Full blown mid Jan I loves these few months off.

Yes. It is not uncommon for production breeds to have a short laying round in the fall. I even had one of my buff dewlap girls go through a fall cycle in 2016 and I hatched a gander on Christmas Day... best Xmas present ever!
