I am finding massive eggs in my coop. Five of them now, are they goose eggs? My goose hen was bought as a chick last spring. Her mate has been mounting her but i assumed they were practicing.but now I'm finding huge eggs in the bottom of the coop.

Going to add a picture as soon as i can of the eggs.

Our africans we sold a week ago were laying for 2 weeks before they left here. If you the chickens and geese are the only birds in or have access to the coop then yes those be goose eggs.

they make great omelets and quiche

what breed of geese do you have?

I have two African geese. My goose is super sweet and friendly but the gander is standoffish and will no longer come up to me. They both were raised in the house until they were three months old with day time outdoor trips.

Ooooh! Ok now im really excited!! Woohoo! Ive got goose eggs!!! More what to do with them? Lol easy or hatch... Hmmm..

We are eating them. I haven't noticed any breeding but I don't want to incubate eggs this time of year and most other people don't, either...
