My royal palm turkeys absolutly terrorized my muscovy ducks and they weren't allowed in by the chickens. They also chased my 25 lb house dog so bad we had to force him to go outside and potty! So, yep, they chase stuff, including your other poultry!

uum, well, i wouldnt want that!.....what about if i got a goseling and raised him with my hens from a very young age??....

Didn't work at all for me. To slow down the predation, I ended up buying an LGD, a livestock guard dog.
There are several breeds that work good. I got a Great Pyrenees.

I have noticed that when birds of prey are around, my duck runs for me geese who stand as tall as they can and make a bunch of ruckus. Duck is still around so, maybe he has it figured out?

so say this again!?....LOL...will it work do you think, or no?? thanks!, Wendy

I don't see them actively fighting off a hawk or a weasel. Although, as a hawk looking for a meal, a big ol' turkey or goose is kinda scary looking. I wouldn't have tried to have ducks without geese. They make good intimidators, but I'm not sure about actual "guardians".

My guinea fowl will start squawking like crazy if something does not seem right to them.
