geese plucking

    Ok I had ordered 8 baby geese got them February 1 2016. This week I had 1 to die and 2 that has had all there feathers plucked down to the skin and very bloody but still alive have them on heat lamp and treating them. Any ideas and or why?

    @bubbariddles Welcome to BYC there are a few things boredom can cause this, too small a brooder can also cause them to peck each others feathers. Is it just one doing this? separate it from the rest but so they can still see each other. What is the temp in your brooder?
    I am sorry for your loss I hope the others make it. What breed? and what feed are you feeding them?
