Chickens vs. Geese...well chickens will lay more eggs, and often. if you want a good layer look at perhaps getting some Salmon Faverolles, Rhode Island Reds or Ameraucanas for the pretty eggs. And they are nice size for eating once you have established nice size flock of them as well.
