A very goose - newbie question, can several geese be (happily) kept without a gander? I have some Pilgrim eggs coming next month and I don't know that I'd like to keep any ganders hatched. I have a 3 year old granddaughter and I don't know that I want to deal with the testosterone drama. I have a flock of laying hens who've lived happily with no roo for quite a while - are geese the same?

Yes, you can keep geese without ganders. No, it will not in any way shape or form guarantee you an aggression-free gaggle -- especially during breeding season.

Thanks for the response. Would you say that, on a continuum from docile to aggressive, that keeping a "ganderless" flock reduces aggressive tendencies?
