Geese with one drooping wing - Should I be worried?

I hatched two Chinese swan geese about 9 weeks ago. They've gotten their wing feathers. Both birds each have one droopy wing. I can't tell if the feathers are just heavy or if they are getting Angel Wing. Does anyone have any experience with this? Is there anything I can do to help? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I love, love, love these birds.

What are you feeding them and what is the protien% on the bag ?Unfortunately they are not getting they HAVE angelwing.

You could try taping the wing down to the body. It has to be tight.

I hatched the geese for a nearby farm. I'm not sure what they are feeding them right now. I'm reading articles on taping the wings for a few days to help correct the problem. What kind of tape do you use? Does it bother the birds?

Angel wing big times. You have to take action now and hope that it is not to late to correct it. I usually treat it before it gets that bad.
Ok, go to the feed store into the horse isle and get vet wrap. Get several rolls and try to get a muted colors, like dark green or purple. First you wrap the wing itself into the folded up position, and then you wrap the whole wing to the body. The folded position is important so they don't stretch out the wing underneath the wrapping. Be warned it is a 2 person job and the goose may get out of it once or twice until you figure it out. Wrap the goose daily and take it off at night so the blood circulation keeps on going and the bird and stretch its wing. Do that for 4 days, reevaluate and continue if needed. Good luck.

I've done wrapping in ducks with and without taking it off at night and found no difference. It may be different with geese since their wings are much larger and heavier. It does need to get wrapped and corrected early on. This prevents the bird from later injuring that airplane wing while running into something etc.

We wrapped the wings of both geese. We had to take the wrap off of the goose on the left (Spence) early because he cut his leg and we needed to make sure he wasn't injured in any other way. But we left the wrap on the goose on the right (Kate) for a week and her wing is much better. We are going to re wrap Spence's wing, the cut on his leg is healing nicely and he as no other injuries.
