Gems in water dish

We didn't have marbles handy but had these gems they sell in the floral section. Are these ok of course says made in China so now I want to toss them. Has clear coating on them and feel look like marbles. Any other recs?

They're fine, marbles are probably made in china too. You can wash them if you want.

I think that's ok.
I used to use marbles in my waterer but I find it extremely hard to clean out the wood shavings and the chicks don't seem to need them.

Also, if your water has Sav-A-Chick electrolytes in it make sure to provide fresh normal water as well. Good luck!

Farm store is a dedicated chick, duck, quail farm and I am happy to report they got these chicks on Tuesday and Wed into the store, then put them under lamps and feed them electrolytes and food, clean them off every few hours and they weed out the weaker ones for special care into another barn until they can get them stronger for sale.

Not your typical TSC It’s a private farm store.
So I am feeling a bit less pressure

They are aLL clumped under the brooder plate, not a peep just sleeping we have been checking. Just 2 or 3 have wandered out to drink and eat then return. One buff climbed up on my 12YO girl and sat with her a few minutes cuddling with her. Then we put her back under the plate. Other 9 haven’t budged.

Farm store said try not to touch them much for a week except for butt checking And wash hands often. Going to be hard to do.
