Iam cleanning out my house and I have 3 sergers so for sale I have a Gemsy Serger I do not use. It is new has all assesories ( oil , wrench,springs,tweezers,screw driver)and power cord and presser foot, book with it.

I'm an intermediate sewer, but have never tried a serger before. How easy/difficult to use is the one you have for sale? I've googled the model # and didn't come up with much. Is it an older model? Older is sometimes better b/c the guts are usually more metal and less plastic junk to breakdown.
I'm interested, just don't know that much about them. What can you tell me? I'd be using it mainly to finish seams and hems on lightweight dresses I make my little girls.

I bought it from Ebay. It is all metal and It has a book that shows how to thread it. But the pictures are drawn not very good.It was intimidating at first but, I set down and studied it and went to town.It wasnt as hard as I thought.
The model # is RXM-3D-A that might help.This is the one I started out on before getting a bigger one.

Is it twin needle? how many spools of threaddoes it take?thanks

Its single needle and it is a 3 thread.

Sorry for so many questions,does it have a cutting knife or does it just do overcasting stitches?
