These little chickadoos are 9wks old. They were sold as pullets. I know they can be a little harder to gender than other “breeds “ mutts😂 but what are y’all’s guesses?

I’m more curious about pink and green. But there’s four of them. Pink, Green, Purple, Yellow!

There’s a lot of pictures. Look for the colored dot.

Thank you!

I don’t have EEs so I’m just making a guess but I think that green is a cockerel! I would wait for more experienced people to answer though!

I'm split on it being a cockerel or a pullet because it "acts" like one, but at the same time, these younger birds have been integrated and are acting like typical bottom-of-the-pecking order types so idk! Thank you for your response!

He/She is really pretty though aren't they?! Haha

The boys always are so sweet and pretty when young! Lewy always always wanted to be in my lap and under my arm until he started attacking me.

Oh no! I'm sorry about Lewy! I regret not handling these youngins as much though...they see me as a predator half the time and get our 17wk old BCM roo all wound up hahaha

They all look like pullets to me right now.

If there are any males, I think they are being VERY slow to develop.

One could hope! The black and white one makes me question things because of stuff that I’ve read about coloring, but the comb is still so pale and small… I dunno. I guess I won’t know till I get an egg 😂😂

What about the coloring is making you think male?

Having a pale, small comb at 9 weeks is usually a good sign of being female :)

I was reading something about the hackle and head coloring being different then it’s usually a cockerel, but at the same time these ees are the ones that tractor supply sells as “americanas “ so idk what they are a mixture of.
