Gender and age?

A new chicken showed up in our neighborhood and after it wandering around unclaimed and alone for a few weeks we caught her. We have a mixed flock of 12 hens and 1 roo so we figured whats one more. However we are unsure of the gender or age of it. I think it is a she as the rooster tries to woo her through the penned in enclosure she is currently seperated in daily but she hasnt laid an egg. She seems much smaller than my other girls and makes more chick like trills and peeps than bawks and other noises like my older hens. But if the rooster is trying to mate her then how young could she be? Here are some pics

Could be bantam sized, though. Is she still cheeping, or does she cluck?

Its more like cheeping. In the week we have had her she has never clucked.
