Out of all the breeds, I really wanted Dominique's. So naturally, I think they were the ones that died as chicks (only four losses early on) and the two that I think are Dominiques, I think they're boys.
Both suspects look exactly like this. Cockerel, right?
And just to confirm that this a Barred Plymouth Rock, right? Only one of these turned out to be a lad, all the others are pullets. Some due appear lighter than this.
And she'll be a lovely Easter Egger pullet? She's my favorite, and the prettiest of the chicks, so in hoping puller! All the other Easter Egger pullets are gray.
I didn't take any pictures of the others, but of my all my Buff Orpingtons none appear to be roos. No waddles, no defined cooks. In fact there combs have only recently started coming in. All of there faces are turning red though, like around there eyes and scalp (?). Is that normal development, would it characterize a roo or pullet?
